MODULAR SUBMERSIBLE
A compact one-pilot submersible with a bubble cockpit and torpedo tail. In EA it replaces the Seamoth's role — but where the Seamoth took depth modules, the Tadpole takes modular bays you build around the hull.

WHAT WE KNOW IN EA
- ▸Base frame scans from the Tadpole Module blueprint — Cicada Wreck Landing Bay Hangar, Unauthorized NOA Mod bunker, or Manta Dock.
- ▸Five module classes are reported by the CN community — deep dive, recon, cargo and two still unconfirmed in Hotfix 4.
- ▸Deep Dive Module Mk1 is confirmed at the alien base (ABYSS coordinates row 19).
- ▸The Recon Ray chassis and Vehicle Dock both scan at Manta Dock.
Manta Dock access may require a door code — community reports mention a code hunt around the dock.

Tadpole FAQ
How deep can the Tadpole go?▾
Base rating is modest — the Deep Dive Module Mk1 (alien base) is what pushes it past 1,000m. Community depth tests are still being published for Hotfix 4.
Where do I dock and recharge it?▾
The Vehicle Dock blueprint at Manta Dock builds a mooring station. Manta Dock itself sits in the ABYSS band — bring a powered vehicle or a very good rebreather.
Is the Seamoth in Subnautica 2?▾
Not yet in EA — the Tadpole fills its role. Watch the roadmap for vehicle additions in later updates.
