Is there a map in Subnautica 2?▾
There's no in-game full map in Early Access — this page is the community's depth-verified map. Biome positions and depths come from the community wiki, current to Hotfix 4.
How deep is the Subnautica 2 map?▾
The current depth ceiling is 3,100m in the Void. You need a fully-upgraded PRAWN to go past 900m, and a reason to dive below 1,500m.
What are all the biomes in Subnautica 2?▾
Ten biomes: Dolerite Spires, Shallows & Caves, Plateaus, Graveyard, Sparse Plains, Overgrown Ruins, Root Canyon, Great Trench, Void and Xanadu. Full list on the biome names page.
Where is the best place to build a base?▾
Dolerite Spires is the community consensus for a first base — lithium, titanium and quartz all within a minute's swim. See the base location rankings.
Is the Subnautica 2 map bigger than Below Zero?▾
Early Access maps are roughly comparable; the 3,100m depth ceiling is deeper than Below Zero's 965m, and v0.5 adds a new biome below 1,700m — see the roadmap.
